2ML Disposable EDTA-K2 Vacuum Blood Collection Tube. In modern clinical hematology, a high-quality blood specimen is the primary guarantee for obtaining accurate diagnostic results. We understand this deeply, which is why we present this meticulously designed and manufactured 2mL Disposable EDTA-K2 Vacuum Blood Collection Tube. It is more than just a simple collection container; it is a critical link ensuring the integrity and stability of the blood sample from the patient to the analytical instrument.

Product Overview

This product is a sterile, pre-set vacuum blood collection tube engineered in strict accordance with clinical laboratory standards, containing high-quality EDTA-K2 (Dipotassium Ethylenediaminetetraacetate) anticoagulant. Its precise 2mL draw volume is optimized for routine hematological tests, such as Complete Blood Count (CBC), blood typing, and other related analyses. The universally recognized purple cap allows for quick and easy identification by healthcare professionals, effectively minimizing the risk of procedural errors in busy clinical settings.

Core Advantages & Features

  • Precise Blood-to-Additive Ratio: The internal vacuum is precisely calibrated to ensure an exact draw volume of 2mL. This guarantees a consistent and accurate ratio of blood to the EDTA-K2 anticoagulant, which is fundamental for achieving reliable test results.
  • Superior Anticoagulation Performance: We utilize an advanced, atomized spray-coating technology to evenly distribute EDTA-K2 on the interior wall of the tube. As blood enters, it mixes instantly and gently with the anticoagulant, effectively chelating calcium ions to prevent the coagulation cascade while maximally preserving the original morphology of blood cells.
  • Medical-Grade, High-Quality Material: The tube is made from highly transparent, medical-grade PET, which offers excellent physical and chemical stability, impact resistance, and a low risk of breakage. The specially treated, smooth inner wall significantly reduces cell adhesion (platelet activation), ensuring complete sample recovery.
  • Dual-Seal for Safety and Reliability: The expertly designed butyl rubber stopper provides exceptional air-tightness and resealability after needle puncture. Paired with the safety cap, it forms a secure, closed system. This not only maintains the vacuum stability for a long shelf life but also effectively prevents sample leakage and aerosol contamination during collection, transportation, and analysis.
  • User-Friendly Design for Convenient Operation: Clear graduation marks and a dedicated labeling area make it easy for medical staff to verify the draw volume and record patient information. The standard dimensions ensure perfect compatibility with various vacuum blood collection needles and automated analytical instruments.

Our Disposable Vacuum Blood Collection Tube is engineered for optimal performance and compatibility. Each tube has a precise draw volume of 2 mL and standard dimensions of 13 x 75 mm. The tube body is constructed from durable, clear medical-grade PET, ensuring sample visibility and integrity.

The active additive is EDTA-K2 (Dipotassium Ethylenediaminetetraacetate), and each tube is identified by its internationally recognized purple cap. To guarantee sterility, every tube undergoes Gamma Irradiation. For ease of use and inventory management, the tubes are conveniently packaged in racks of 100 pieces, with 1800 pieces per shipping carton.

Intended Use

This product is primarily intended for use in routine clinical hematology tests, including but not limited to:

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Blood Typing (Forward and Reverse)
  • Glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) Testing
  • Other laboratory tests requiring EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood specimens

Instructions for Use & Storage

  1. Before use, confirm that the product packaging is intact and within its expiration date.
  2. Please follow your institution’s standard protocol for phlebotomy. After successful venipuncture, insert the tube into the holder to puncture the stopper; blood will automatically flow into the tube.
  3. Once the blood flow ceases, remove the tube from the holder and immediately invert it gently 5-8 times to ensure thorough mixing of the blood with the anticoagulant.
  4. It is recommended to store the product in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment with a relative humidity not exceeding 80% and free from corrosive gases.

We are committed to supplying high-quality in-vitro diagnostic consumables to medical institutions worldwide. Choosing our product means choosing a commitment to precision and safety. For samples or further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact our sales team.

EDTA tube is a type of blood collection tube that contains ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) as an anticoagulant. EDTA works by binding to calcium ions in the blood, which prevents clotting and helps preserve the sample for laboratory analysis.

Store EDTA tubes at room temperature (4-25°C) and avoid exposure to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight to maintain their effectiveness. It is important to check the expiration date on the tubes and avoid using expired products
